Please complete this form to be reviewed by the Admissions/Retention Committee for consideration for admittance to Mid-America Christian University. Thank you. 




Please put in the email that you check on a regular basis, as this will be the email in which the decision is emailed to.







The following questions are information that the Committee would like to review in your appeal letter. This letter should be typed, containing proper grammar and spelling. Be as thorough as possible and provide any documentation that you would like the Committee to consider in review of your appeal (i.e. bills proving financial hardship, documents showing personal difficulties such as obituaries, legal, etc.).
Please consider the following questions about low test scores (ACT/SAT/TOEFL):
- Why have you chosen to apply to MACU?
- When is a time that you have had to overcome a hardship or obstacle?
- What does it mean to you to be a successful college student?
- How will a degree from MACU advance you in your future goals?
Please consider the following questions about not being in good standing at a previous institution:
- Why have you chosen to apply to MACU?
- When is a time that you have had to overcome a hardship or obstacle?
- What has changed in your life that will allow you to be more successful in school at this time?
- How does a degree from MACU advance your future goals?
Please consider the following questions about missing transcripts:
- What are the reason(s) you are unable to obtain the official transcript?
- What are you planning to do to obtain the official transcript?

* You must include a balance statement from your previous institution(s) either on their institutional letterhead or in an email from a representative of that institution.
Please consider the following questions about CGPA below entrance requirements:
- Explain what interfered with your ability to maintain a CGPA at or above requirements.
- What prevented you from being successful in raising your CGPA to the required level during your semester of probation?
- What changes have you made to raise and maintain your CGPA that would ensure your future success?
- What is motivating you to continue to seek your degree at MACU?
Please consider the following questions about academic suspension:
Undergraduate Student:
-Explain what interfered with your ability to maintain a CGPA at or above requirements.
-What prevented you from being successful in raising your CGPA to the required level during your semester of probation?
-What changes have you made to raise and maintain your CGPA that would ensure your future success?
-What is motivating you to continue to seek your degree at MACU?

Graduate Student:
- Explain what interfered with you being able to earn a 2.75 CGPA or better in your prior course work.
- What has changed that you believe would make you successful in earning a B or better in all graduate coursework?
- What is your motivation for attending MACU?
Please consider the following questions about academic suspension:
-Explain what interfered with your ability to maintain a CGPA at or above requirements.
-What prevented you from being successful in raising your CGPA to the required level during your semester of probation?
-What changes have you made to raise and maintain your CGPA that would ensure your future success?
-What is motivating you to continue to seek your degree at MACU?
Please consider the following information about Conditional Admittance - Final Grade Posting:
If you are not a current student at Mid-America Christian University, you will need to submit a letter from your current institution stating when your expected completion date is.
- Grades must be posted and all admissions requirements must be met within 14 days of early admittance.
- Student must submit an official transcript within 14 days of early admittance.
- Bachelors degree must be conferred within 14 days of early admittance.  
- If all requirements are not met within 14 days of early admittance, you will be removed from the program.
